The Utility Billing Department is responsible for utility billing and collections for over 9,000 customers. Utilities provided by the City are water, sewer, and garbage service.
Water Rules and Regulations Update
In July, 2019, City Council voted to approve an updated water ordinance. Please click here for the complete ordinance. If your water service is turned off due to non-payment or non-compliance with water rules and regulations, a charge of $100 shall be paid before water service will be turned back on. Other than for emergency situations, water service will only be turned on or off during City Hall business hours. This is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Water Rate Reduction Program
Senior citizens and permanently disabled residents are eligible for a special residential water rate reduction program to aid certain elderly and disabled homeowners for a fifty percent (50%) reduction in their water fees.
To qualify for this program, residents must:
- 65 years of age with an income level (combined income level, if applicable) of $27,000 or below
- The homeowner is disabled
- Own must reside in a primary residence in the City of North Canton, Ohio
In order to qualify for this program residents of the City must provide proof of income level (i.e. 1040) and/or disability (i.e. social security document identifying disability information).
